Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer to help us transform our existing pharmacy software into a Software as a Service (SAAS) application. Currently, our software is built using PHP, Laravel, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and is available as a standalone application. We now aim to convert it into a cloud-based SAAS application to offer greater accessibility and scalability to our users.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and understand the existing pharmacy software and its underlying architecture.
Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute the conversion process to a SAAS model.
Implement the necessary changes to transition the application to a cloud-based environment.
Develop subscription models and "pay as you go" billing options to offer flexible pricing plans to customers.
Optimize the application for performance, scalability, and security in the SAAS environment.
Ensure seamless integration of existing features and functionalities into the SAAS application.
Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix any bugs or issues during the conversion process.
Provide technical documentation and support for the new SAAS application.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and UI/UX designers, to ensure a cohesive user experience.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends related to SAAS development and cloud computing.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Software Engineer, preferably with expertise in PHP, Laravel, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and experience in converting traditional applications to SAAS models.
Strong understanding of SAAS architecture, multi-tenancy, and subscription-based billing systems.
Knowledge of database design and management in a cloud environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in developing SAAS applications or cloud-based solutions.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
