How to Add Skills and Expertise to Your Profile

Adding specializations and skills to your SwapLance profile is more than just filling out information. It's an opportunity to showcase your unique abilities, expertise, and professionalism to potential clients. 

Remember, a well-rounded and comprehensive profile can set you apart from other freelancers and increase your chances of securing exciting and rewarding projects. 

This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Accessing the Settings

1. Click on your avatar in the header of the site to open the menu.
2. Select the «Settings» option from the dropdown menu.
3. You will automatically be directed to the «Common settings» tab. 

2. Adding Specializations

1. You can specify one main specialization and up to four additional specializations.
2. First, select the specialization category, then the specialization itself.
3. Once selected, «Additional Parameters» will appear where you can specify your hourly rate andminimum order value/budget.
4. The selected specialization also has «Service Settings» where you can indicate more detailed services you provide. Choose the ones relevant to you and specify your hourly rate for each. If you prefer not to select any, they will not be displayed. 

Note: If you purchase a PRO account subscription, you can add up to 15 additional specializations.

Tip: If you don't find a suitable specialization, select the category «other» and the specialization «other». A field will appear where you can specify your unique specialization.

3. Adding Skills

1. Locate the «Skills» field.
2. Enter each skill and press enter. The skill will appear below the field.
3. You can add as many skills as you wish. 

4. Saving Changes

After adding specializations and skills, click on the «Save» button located at the bottom of the page to save your changes. 

Editing Your Specialisations and Skills:

You can edit your specializations and skills at any time by following the same steps. However, we recommend not changing your specializations frequently to maintain consistency for clients and to avoid impacting your rating.
